Shop Parts Now   This beautiful 1st series 65 Utiline belongs to a very good customer and friend of mine. Denis did an amazing job restoring it, don’t you think? He has graciously allowed me to use the pictures on this website. The next slide offers a snapshot of the history of the truck. If you have any questions related to the restoration, Denis has said he would be glad to talk with you. Hit my email button and send me your info and I will forward it to him.
Early 1965 Dodge D-100 (225-3 on the tree), family owned since 1966. Used as a work truck by my Father-in-law (Frank Chavez) in his landscaping business until  the distributor gear broke, along with many other worn out parts. At that point he decided in 1991 to retire the truck with 100K ++ miles on it.  Truck was moved to the back yard waiting for me to retire from the Navy.  2012 after retirement from Navy, a 2 ½ year frame off restoration project began. I kept every original part I could salvage.   All the sheet metal and drive train is original.  I have restored a few other vehicles and by far this was the most challenging.  Parts and knowledge base are hard to come by.  Bud Thorp was my best source of parts and knowledge,  If Bud didn’t have the part he always knew where to get it.  Without Bud’s help this project would have taken me a lot longer to complete and I wouldn’t have been able to keep the truck as original as I did.  Thanks Bud.

I bought my first Sweptline in 1970. Over the years I have built and maintained a countless number of these trucks. Over the last 40 plus years I have accumulated a large stash of parts for them. It is now time to let these items find their forever homes. The parts listed here in no way represents everything I have. If you need a particular item, email me. I just may have it and have not had time to post it. Remember these parts are 40 to 50 years old and are sold as is with no warranty or guarantee whatsoever.

This has been a wonderful hobby for me and I enjoy seeing these old trucks on the highway. So if you care to share a pic or two of your truck, please send it to me. Include your phone number. Maybe we will get a chance to discuss it.
